Background:
The proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA), a protein synthesized in early G1 and S phases of the cell cycle, functions in cell cycle progression, DNA replication and DNA repair. In early S phase, PCNA exhibits granular distribution and is absent from the nucleoli; however, in late S phase, it relocates to the nucleoli.
Alternative Name:
Proliferating cell nuclear antigen, Cyclin
Application Dilution: WB: 1:500 - 1:2000, IHC: 1:50 - 1:200
Specificity: PCNA polyclonal antibody detects endogenous levels of PCNA protein.
Immunogen:
Recombinant full length Human PCNA.
MW: ~ 29, 36 kDa
Swis Prot.: P12004
Purification & Purity:
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Format:
1mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% Sodium Azide, 50% Glycerol.
Storage:
Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.
