Protein Family: Translation Factors
Pathway and Disease: Signaling Molecules and Interaction, Translation, Cell Growth and Death
Description:
Programmed cell death protein 4 (PDCD4) inhibits translation initiation and cap-dependent translation. PDCD4 excerts its function by hindering the interaction between EIF4A1 and EIF4G. PDCD4 inhibits the helicase activity of EIF4A and modulates the activation of JUN kinase. PDCD4 down-regulates the expression of MAP4K1, thus inhibiting events important in driving invasion, namely, MAPK85 activation and consequent JUN-dependent transcription.PDCD4 inhibits tumor promoter-induced neoplastic transformation.
Alternate Names: Programmed cell death protein 4, Nuclear antigen H731-like, Neoplastic transformation inhibitor protein, Protein 197/15a, PDCD4, H731
Application Notes: E: 1:10,000-1:50,000; WB: 1:100-1:1,000; IHC: 1:100-1:500
Accession No.: Q53EL6
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the C-term region of human PDCD4.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4 with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by Protein-G affinity chromatography.
Storage:
Store at -20°C. Minimize freeze-thaw cycles. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment.
