PDGF (Platelet-derived growth factor) is a mitogenic peptide growth hormone carried in the alpha-granules of platelets. It is released when platelets adhere to traumatized tissues. Connective tissue cells near the traumatized region respond by initiating the process of replication. The synthesis of PDGF can be induced by Interleukin-1, Interleukin-6, TNF-alpha, TGF-beta and EGF. Recombinant Human Platelet Derived Growth Factor-AA is a homodimeric non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 2 x 125 amino acids with a total MW of 28,511 Da.

Purity > 97% as determined by reducing and non-reducing SDS-PAGE. Protein Content determined by UV spectroscopy at 280 nm and analysis by RP-HPLC calibrated against a known standard. Quantitation on SDS-PAGE against a known standard.
Format:
Each vial contains 10 ug protein lyophilized in 5 mM sodium phosphate pH7.5, 0.5% mannitol. Reconstitute with 0.1 ml sterile deionized water for a final concentration of 0.1 mg/ml.
Storage: Store at -20°C. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment. Following reconstitution, store at -20°C. We recommend to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) for long term storage.
