Protein Family: CAM Ligands, Cytokines
Pathway and Disease: Cancers, Cell Communication, Cell Motility, Signal Transduction, Signaling Molecules and Interaction
Alternate Names: Platelet-derived growth factor A chain, Platelet-derived growth factor alpha polypeptide, PDGF-1, PDGF subunit A, PDGFA, PDGF1, Platelet-derived growth factor subunit ADescription:
Platelet Derived Growth Factor-AA (PDGF-AA) is a disulfide linked dimer comprised of 2 polypeptide chains of 126 amino acids each, with a dimeric molecular weight of 28.9 kDa. Belonging to a family of PDGF’s including PDGF-BB and PDGF-AB, PDGF-AA plays an important role as a mitogen for a number of cell types. Recombinant Mouse PDGF-AA produced in E. coli is a non-glycosylated homodimer.
Source: E. coli. Endotoxin level as measured by LAL is <0.01ng/ug or <0.1EU/ug.
Applications: E, WB
Application Notes:
Mouse PDGF-AA is fully biologically active when compared to standard. Determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of the proliferation of Balb/c 3T3 cells an ED50 range of 8-10 ng/ml is observed.
Accession No.: P20033
MW: 28900 Da
Sequence:
MSIEEAVPAV CKTRTVIYEI PRSQVDPTSA NFLIWPPCVE VKRCTGCCNT SSVKCQPSRV HHRSVKVAKV EYVRKKPKLK EVQVRLEEHL ECACATSNLN PDHREEETGR RRESGKNRKR KRLKPT
Purity:
Purity > 97% as determined by analytical HPLC and reducing and non-reducing SDS-PAGE. Protein Content determined by UV spectroscopy at 280 nm and quantitation on SDS-PAGE against a known standard.
Format:
Each vial contains 10 ug of lyophilized protein. Reconstitute with 0.1 ml sterile deionized water for a final concentration of 0.1 mg/ml.
Storage: Store at -20°C. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment. Following reconstitution, store at -20°C. We recommend to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) for long term storage.
Pathway and Disease: Cancers, Cell Communication, Cell Motility, Signal Transduction, Signaling Molecules and Interaction
