Protein Family: CAM Ligands, Cytokines
Pathway and Disease: Cancers, Cell Communication, Cell Motility, Signal Transduction, Signaling Molecules and Interaction
Description:
PDGF (Platelet-derived growth factor) is a mitogenic peptide growth hormone carried in the alpha-granules of platelets. PDGF is released when platelets adhere to traumatized tissues. Connective tissue cells near the traumatized region respond by initiating the process of replication. The synthesis of PDGF can be induced by Interleukin-1, Interleukin-6, TNF-alpha, TGF-beta and EGF. PDGF is expressed as a homodimer (PDGF-BB) or as a heterodimer with PDGF-A to form PDGF-AB.
Alternate Names: Platelet-derived growth factor subunit B, PDGF subunit B, Platelet-derived growth factor B chain, Platelet-derived growth beta polypeptide, PDGF-2, c-sis, Becaplermin, PDGFB, PDGF2, SIS
Application Notes: E: 1:500-1:1,000; WB: 1:100-1:500; IHC: 1:100-1:500
Accession No.: P01127
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the N-term region of human PDGF-B.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4 with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by Protein-G affinity chromatography.
Storage:
Store at -20°C. Minimize freeze-thaw cycles. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment.
