Protein Family: CAM Ligands, Cytokines
Pathway and Disease: Cancers, Cell Communication, Cell Motility, Signal Transduction, Signaling Molecules and Interaction
Alternate Names: Platelet-derived growth factor subunit B, PDGF subunit B, Platelet-derived growth factor B chain, Platelet-derived growth beta polypeptide, PDGF-2, c-sis, Becaplermin, PDGFB, PDGF2, SISDescription:
Platelet Derived Growth Factor BB (PDGF-BB) is part of a family of PDGFs including AA, AB and BB. All of them are disulfide-linked homodimers and play an important role in the mitogenic activity for connective tissue, blood, bone and cartilage cells. Recombinant Mouse PDGF-BB is a nonglycosylated polypeptide consisting of two PDGF-B chains of 109 amino acids each. The final protein is a disulfide-linked homodimer of 218 amino acids with a MW of 24.6 kDa.
Source: E. coli. Endotoxin level as measured by LAL is <0.01ng/ug or <0.1EU/ug.
Applications: E, WB
Application Notes:
Mouse PDGF-BB is fully biologically active when compared to standard. The ED50, measured by the dose-dependent induction of proliferation in mouse 3T3 fibroblasts, is 1.72 ng/ml.
Accession No.: P31240
MW: 24600 Da
Sequence:
MSLGSLAAAE PAVIAECKTR TEVFQISRNL IDRTNANFLV WPPCVEVQRC SGCCNNRNVQ CRASQVQMRP VQVRKIEIVR KKPIFKKATV TLEDHLACKC ETIVTPRPVT
Purity:
Purity > 98% as determined by analytical HPLC and reducing and non-reducing SDS-PAGE. Protein Content determined by UV spectroscopy at 280 nm and quantitation on SDS-PAGE against a known standard.
Format:
Each vial contains 10 ug protein lyophilized in 10 mM sodium citrate pH3.0. Reconstitute with 0.1 ml sterile deionized water for a final concentration of 0.1 mg/ml.
Storage: Store at -20°C. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment. Following reconstitution, store at -20°C. We recommend to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) for long term storage.
Pathway and Disease: Cancers, Cell Communication, Cell Motility, Signal Transduction, Signaling Molecules and Interaction
