Protein Family: Cytokines
Pathway and Disease: Signaling Molecules and Interaction, Cell Communication, Cell Motility, Cancers
Description:
Platelet-derived growth factor C (PDGF-C) is a potent mitogen and chemoattractant for cells of mesenchymal origin. The binding of PDGF-C growth factor to its receptor elicits a variety of cellular responses. PDGF-C appears to be involved in the three stages of wound healing: inflammation, proliferation and remodeling. A lower molecular weight form (around 43 kDa) of PDGF-C is present in patients with papillary thyroid carcinoma.
Alternate Names: Platelet-derived growth factor C, PDGF-C, Spinal cord-derived growth factor, SCDGF, Fallotein, VEGF-E, PDGFC, SCDGF
Application Notes: E: 1:1,000-1:10,000; IHC: 1:100-1:500
Accession No.: Q9NRA1
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the C-term region of human PDGF-C.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4 with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by Protein-G affinity chromatography.
Storage:
Store at -20°C. Minimize freeze-thaw cycles. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment.
