Protein Family: Enzymes
Pathway and Disease: Cell Growth and Death
Description:
PEG10 (Paternally expressed gene 10 protein) participates apoptosis and cell differentiation pathways. PEG10 prevents apoptosis in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cells through interaction with SIAH1, a mediator of apoptosis. PEG10 also plays a role in cell growth promotion and hepatoma formation. PEG10 inhibits the TGF-beta signaling by interacting with the TGF-beta receptor ALK1. When overexpressed, PEG10 induces the formation of cellular extension, such as filopodia in association with ALK1.
Alternate Names: PEG10, Paternally expressed gene 10 protein, Retrotransposon-derived protein PEG10, Retrotransposon-derived gag-like polyprotein, Embryonal carcinima differentiation-regulated protein, Mammalian retrotransposon-derived protein 2, Myelin expression factor 3-like protein 1, MEF3-like protein 1, Retrotransposon gag domain-containing protein 3, Ty3/Gypsy-like protein, EDR, KIAA1051, MAR2, MART2, MEF3L1, RGAG3
Application Notes: E: 1:500-1:1,000; WB: 1:100-1:500; IHC: 1:100-1:500; IP: 1:100-1:500
Accession No.: Q86TG7
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the N-term region of human PEG10.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4 with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by Protein-G affinity chromatography.
Storage:
Store at -20°C. Minimize freeze-thaw cycles. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment.
