Background:
Binds to actin and affects the structure of the cytoskeleton. At high concentrations, profilin prevents the polymerization of actin, whereas it enhances it at low concentrations. By binding to PIP2, it inhibits the formation of IP3 and DG. Inhibits androgen receptor (AR) and HTT aggregation and binding of G-actin is essential for its inhibition of AR.
Alternative Name:
Actin binding protein, PFN 1, Pfn, PFN1, PROF1, Profilin I, Profilin-1, Profilin1, ProfilinI,
Application Dilution: WB: 1:500~1:2000
Specificity: PFN1 polyclonal antibody detects endogenous levels of PFN1 protein.
Immunogen:
Recombinant full length Human PFN1.
MW: ~ 15 kDa
Swis Prot.: P07737
Purification & Purity:
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Format:
1mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% Sodium Azide, 50% Glycerol.
Storage:
Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.
