Background:
RASGRF1 is a guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF) similar to the Saccharomyces cerevisiae CDC25 gene product. Functional analysis has demonstrated that this protein stimulates the dissociation of GDP from RAS protein. Studies of the similar gene in mouse suggested that the Ras-GEF activity of this protein in brain can be activated by Ca2+ influx, muscarinic receptors, and G protein beta-gamma subunit. Mouse studies also indicated that the Ras-GEF signaling pathway mediated by this protein may be important for long-term memory.

Other Names:
Ras-specific guanine nucleotide-releasing factor 1, Ras-GRF1, Guanine nucleotide-releasing protein, GNRP, Ras-specific nucleotide exchange factor CDC25, RASGRF1, CDC25, GNRP, GRF1

Target/Specificity:
The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP3496a was selected from the region of human Phospho-RASGRF1-S929. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.

Gene Name: RASGRF1

Gene ID: 5923
Primary Accession: Q13972
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
