Background:
Glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI) is a complex glycolipidthat anchors many proteins to the cell surface. The biosyntheticpathway of GPI is mediated by sequential addition of sugars andother components to phosphatidylinositol. PIGV adds the secondmannose to the GPI core (Kang et al., 2005 [PubMed15623507]).
Other Names:
GPI mannosyltransferase 2, 241-, GPI mannosyltransferase II, GPI-MT-II, Phosphatidylinositol-glycan biosynthesis class V protein, PIG-V, PIGV
Gene Name: PIGV
Gene ID: 55650
Primary Accession: Q9NUD9
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
