Protein Family: Enzymes
Pathway and Disease: Signal Transduction
Alternate Names: cAMP-dependent protein kinase inhibitor alpha; PKI-alpha; PKIA; PRKACN1
Accession No.: P61925
Description:
This peptide is a potent and competitive inhibitor of protein kinase A (PKA) with a Ki = 1.7 nM. The peptide sequence corresponds to residues 6-22 of human cAMP-dependent protein kinase inhibitor alpha (PKI-alpha) and is amidated at the C-terminus end. PKI-alpha interacts with the catalytic subunit of PKA after the cAMP-induced dissociation of its regulatory chains.
Format:
Each vial contains 1 mg of lyophilized solid packaged under an inert gas and supplied as a trifluoroacetate salt.
MW: 1868.1 g/mol
Sequence:
Thr-Tyr-Ala-Asp-Phe-Ile-Ala-Ser-Gly-Arg-Thr-Gly-Arg-Arg-Asn-Ala-Ile-NH2 or TYADFIASGRTGRRNAI-NH2
Composition:
C80H130N28O24
Purity:
> 95% by HPLC
Solubility:
Distilled water for a solution up to 2 mg/ml, otherwise we recommend using acetonitrile.
Storage:
Store at -20°C. The product is hygroscopic and must be protected from light. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment. Following reconstitution, aliquot and store at -20°C.
