Protein Family: Enzymes, Protein Kinases
Pathway and Disease: Cell Communication
Description:
Protein kinase C eta type (PKC eta) is a calcium-independent, phospholipid-dependent, serine- and threonine-specific enzyme. PKC eta is activated by diacylglycerol which in turn phosphorylates a range of cellular proteins. PKC eta also serves as the receptor for phorbol esters, a class of tumor promoters. Defects in PRKCH may be a cause of susceptibility to ischemic stroke (ISCHSTR), also known as cerebrovascular accident or cerebral infarction.
Alternate Names: PKC eta, Protein kinase C eta type, nPKC-eta, PKC-L, PRKCH, PKCL, PRKCL
Application Notes: E: 1:10,000-1:50,000; WB: 1:100-1:500; IHC: 1:50-1:200
Accession No.: P24723
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the N-term region of human PKC eta.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4, with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by immunogen affinity chromatography.
Storage:
Store at -20°C. Minimize freeze-thaw cycles. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment.
