Background:
This gene encodes a subunit of RNA polymerase II, the polymerase responsible for synthesizing messenger RNA in eukaryotes. This subunit, in combination with two other polymerase subunits, forms the DNA binding domain of the polymerase, a groove in which the DNA template is transcribed into RNA. The product of this gene has two zinc finger motifs with conserved cysteines and the subunit does possess zinc binding activity.
Alternative Name:
DNA directed RNA polymerase II 14.5 kDa polypeptide, DNA directed RNA polymerase II polypeptide I, DNA directed RNA polymerase II subunit I, DNA directed RNA polymerase II subunit RPB9, DNA-directed RNA polymerase II largest subunit, DNA-directed RNA polymerase II subunit I, DNA-directed RNA polymerase II subunit RPB9, hRPB14.5, hRPB220, hsRPB1, MGC75453, POLR2, POLR2I, POLRA, Polymerase (RNA) II (DNA directed) polypeptide I 14.5kDa, RNA polymerase II 14.5 kDa subunit, RNA polymerase II subunit B9, RPB1, RPB14.5, RPB220, RPB9, RPB9_HUMAN, RPBh1, RpIILS, RPO2, RPOL2,
Application Dilution: WB: 1:500~1:2000, IHC: 1:50~1:200
Specificity: POLR2I polyclonal antibody detects endogenous levels of POLR2I protein.
Immunogen:
Recombinant full length Human POLR2I.
MW: ~15 kDa
Swis Prot.: P36954
Purification & Purity:
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
