AC-BP13975a
Background:
Biosynthesis of coenzyme A (CoA) from pantothenic acid(vitamin B5) is an essential universal pathway in prokaryotes andeukaryotes. PPCDC (EC 4.1.1.36), one of the last enzymes in thispathway, converts phosphopantothenoylcysteine to4-prime-phosphopantetheine (Daugherty et al., 2002 [PubMed11923312]).
Other Names:
Phosphopantothenoylcysteine decarboxylase, PPC-DC, CoaC, PPCDC, COAC
Target/Specificity:
The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP13975a was selected from the N-term region of PPCDC. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.
Gene Name: PPCDC
Gene ID: 60490
Primary Accession: Q96CD2
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
