Background:
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the PP2Cfamily of Ser/Thr protein phosphatases. PP2C family members areknown to be negative regulators of cell stress response pathways. This phosphatase is found to be responsible for thedephosphorylation of Pre-mRNA splicing factors, which is importantfor the formation of functional spliceosome. Studies of a similargene in mice suggested a role of this phosphatase in regulatingcell cycle progression.
Other Names:
Protein phosphatase 1G, Protein phosphatase 1C, Protein phosphatase 2C isoform gamma, PP2C-gamma, Protein phosphatase magnesium-dependent 1 gamma, PPM1G, PPM1C
Gene Name: PPM1G
Gene ID: 5496
Primary Accession: O15355
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
