Protein Family: Enzymes
Pathway and Disease: Cell Motility, Cell Growth and Death, Cell Communication, Endocrine System, Nervous and Sensory Systems
Description:
PP-1A (Serine/threonine-protein phosphatase PP1-alpha catalytic subunit) is a 330 amino acid protein (~38 kD). It is essential for cell division, and participates in the regulation of glycogen metabolism, muscle contractility and protein synthesis. PP-1A is involved in the regulation of ionic conductances and long-term synaptic plasticity. PP-1A plays an important role in dephosphorylating substrates such as the postsynaptic density-associated Ca2+/calmodulin dependent protein kinase II.
Alternate Names: PP-1A, Serine/threonine-protein phosphatase PP1-alpha catalytic subunit, PPP1CA, PPP1A
Application Notes: WB: 1:500-1:2000; IF: 1:200-1:1000
Accession No.: P62136
Antigen: Purified recombinant fragment of human PPP1A expressed in E. coli.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 ml ascitic fluid with 0.03% sodium azide.
Storage:
Store at 4°C for short term use only. Store at -20°C for storage over 1 month. Product is guaranteed 6 months from the date of shipment.
