Background:
An additional protein phosphatase catalytic subunit, PPX (also known as PP4) is a putative member of a novel PP family. The PP1 family is comprised of subfamily members PP1α, PP1β and PP1γ, which are MgATP-dependent enzymes. PP1 inactivity is maintained through its association with the inhibitory protein NIPP-1 (nuclear inhibitor of PP1). Phosphorylation of NIPP-1 by cAMP-PK or casein kinase II results in the release of active PP1.
Alternative Name:
Serine/threonine-protein phosphatase PP1-alpha catalytic subunit, PP-1A, PPP1CA, PPP1A
Application Dilution: WB: 1:500~1:2000, IHC: 1:50~1:200
Specificity: PPP1CA polyclonal antibody detects endogenous levels of PPP1CA protein.
Immunogen:
Recombinant full length Human PPP1CA.
MW: ~ 37 kDa
Swis Prot.: P62136
Purification & Purity:
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Format:
1mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% Sodium Azide, 50% Glycerol.
Storage:
Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.
