Background:
The protein encoded by this gene acts as a guaninenucleotide exchange factor for the RHO family of small GTP-bindingproteins (RACs). It has been shown to bind to and activate RAC1 byexchanging bound GDP for free GTP. The encoded protein, which isfound mainly in the cytoplasm, is activated byphosphatidylinositol-3,4,5-trisphosphate and the beta-gammasubunits of heterotrimeric G proteins.
Other Names:
Phosphatidylinositol 3,5-trisphosphate-dependent Rac exchanger 1 protein, P-Rex1, PtdIns(3,5)-dependent Rac exchanger 1, PREX1, KIAA1415
Gene Name: PREX1
Gene ID: 57580
Primary Accession: Q8TCU6
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
