PRKCI FISH Probe is used to detect PRKCI gene aneusomy.
Protein kinase C (PRKCI), located on chromosome 3q26.2, is an oncogene that can be linked to driving tumorigenesis. PRKCI is coamplified with SOX2 to drive a stem-like phenotype in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC). It is highly expressed in non-small cell lung cancer. Expression of PRKCI is also commonly observed in hepatocellular carcinoma, and gastric cancer.
Empire Genomics has developed a PRKCI FISH Probe assay which can be used to detect PRKCI gene aneusomy. The probe comes labeled in orange, and you may also choose to customize the probe to meet your needs.
