Background:
Proliferating Cell Nuclear Antigen, commonly known as PCNA, is a protein that acts as a processivity factor for DNA polymerase δ in eukaryotic cells. [1]This protein is an auxiliary protein of DNA polymerase delta and is involved in the control of eukaryotic DNA replication by increasing the polymerase's processibility during elongation of the leading strand. [2]It induces a robust stimulatory effect on the 3'-5' exonuclease and 3'-phosphodiesterase, but not apurinic-apyrimidinic (AP) endonuclease, APEX2 activities. And It has to be loaded onto DNA in order to be able to stimulate APEX2. [3]
Immunogen:
Recombinant PCNA protein.
Recommended Application:
Western Blot, WB (1:500-1:1, 000); Immunohistochemistry, IHC-P(1:100); Flow Cytometry, Flow-Cyt (1:1:50)
Product Form: Liquid
Purification: Protein A purified
Storage Buffer: 1*PBS (pH7.4), 0.2% BSA, 40% Glycerol and 0.05% Sodium Azide.
Storage Instruction:
Store at 4℃ after thawing (1 week). Aliquot and store at -20℃ for long term (at least one year). Avoid repeated freeze and thaw cycles.
