Background:
This gene product is a sequence-specific, single-strandedDNA-binding protein. It binds preferentially to the single strandof the purine-rich element termed PUR, which is present at originsof replication and in gene flanking regions in a variety ofeukaryotes from yeasts through humans. Thus, it is implicated inthe control of both DNA replication and transcription. Deletion ofthis gene has been associated with myelodysplastic syndrome andacute myelogenous leukemia.
Other Names:
Transcriptional activator protein Pur-beta, Purine-rich element-binding protein B, PURB
Gene Name: PURB
Gene ID: 5814
Primary Accession: Q96QR8
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
