Description:
Rb (Retinoblastoma-associated protein) is a key regulator of entry into cell division that acts as a tumor suppressor. Rb is directly involved in the heterochromatin formation by maintaining overall chromatin structure and constitutive heterochromatin by stabilizing histone methylation. Defects in Rb are a cause of retinoblastoma, bladder cancer and osteogenic sarcoma.
Alternate Names: Retinoblastoma-associated protein, PP110, P105-RB, RB, RB1
Application Notes: IHC: 1:200-1:1000
Accession No.: P06400
Antigen: Purified recombinant fragment of human RB expressed in E. coli.
