Background:
The protein encoded by this gene is an RNA binding proteinand possible splicing factor. The encoded protein is found in thenucleus, where it colocalizes with core spliceosomal proteins.Studies of a mouse protein with high sequence similarity to thisprotein suggest that this protein may act as a transcriptionalcoactivator for JUN/AP-1 and estrogen receptors. Multipletranscript variants encoding different isoforms have been observedfor this gene.

Other Names:
RNA-binding protein 39, CAPER alpha, Hepatocellular carcinoma protein 1, RNA-binding motif protein 39, RNA-binding region-containing protein 2, Splicing factor HCC1, RBM39, HCC1, RNPC2

Target/Specificity:
The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP14119a was selected from the N-term region of RBM39. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.

Gene Name: RBM39 {ECO:0000303|PubMed:28302793, ECO:0000312|HGNC:HGNC:15923}

Gene ID: 9584
Primary Accession: Q14498
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
