Background:
Radixin is a cytoskeletal protein that may be important inlinking actin to the plasma membrane. It is highly similar insequence to both ezrin and moesin. The radixin gene has beenlocalized by fluorescence in situ hybridization to 11q23. Atruncated version representing a pseudogene (RDXP2) was assigned toXp21.3. Another pseudogene that seemed to lack introns (RDXP1) wasmapped to 11p by Southern and PCR analyses.

Other Names:
Radixin, RDX

Target/Specificity:
The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP14028b was selected from the C-term region of RDX. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.

Gene Name: RDX

Gene ID: 5962
Primary Accession: P35241
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
