Description
ACE, also known as peptidyl-dipetidase A, is a zinc metallopeptidase important for blood pressure control and water and salt metabolism. it converts angiotensin I to angiotensin II by release of the terminal His-Leu, this results in an increase of the vasoconstrictor activity of angiotensin. It's able to inactivate bradykinin, a potent vasodilator. It has also a glycosidase activity which releases GPI-anchored proteins from the membrane by cleaving the mannose linkage in the GPI moiety. Recombinant human ACE/CD143, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.Alternative Names
