Description
AICDA, also known as AID, is involved in somatic hypermutation, gene conversion, and class-switch recombination in B-lymphocytes. This protein is required for several crucial steps of B-cell terminal differentiation necessary for efficient antibody responses. It may also play a role in the epigenetic regulation of gene expression by participating in DNA demethylation. Recombinant human AICDA protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli.Alternative Names
Activation-induced cytidine deaminase, AID, ARP2, CDA2, HIGM2Concentration
0.5mg/ml (determined by Bradford assay)Concentration
Liquid in. 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0) containing 0.4M urea, 10% glycerolStorage: Can be stored at +2C to +8C for 1 week. For long term storage, aliquot and store at -20C to -80C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing cycles.
