Description
Annexin A5, also known as Annexin V, belongs to the annexin family of calcium-dependent phospholipid binding proteins some of which have been implicated in membrane-related events along exocytotic and endocytotic pathways. Annexin A5 is a phospholipase A2 and protein kinase C inhibitory protein with calcium channel activity and a potential role in cellular signal transduction, inflammation, growth and differentiation. This protein is an anticoagulant protein that acts as an indirect inhibitor of the thromboplastin-specific complex, which is involved in the blood coagulation cascade. Recombinant Annexin A5 protein was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.Alternative Names
Vascular anticoagulant-alpha, VAC-alpha, Thromboplastin inhibitor, PP4, Placental anticoagulant protein I, PAP I, Lipocortin V, ENX2, Endonexin II, CPB-I, Calphobindin I, ANX5, ANX A5, Annexin V, Annexin A5, Annexin 5, Anchorin CIIConcentration
1mg/ml (determined by Bradford assay)Concentration
Liquid in. 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0) containing 1mM DTT, 10% glycerolStorage: Can be stored at +2C to +8C for 1 week. For long term storage, aliquot and store at -20C to -80C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing cycles.
