Description
ATP1B2, as known as sodium/potassium-transporting ATPase subunit beta-2 isoform 1, is the family of Na+/K+ and H+/K+ ATPases beta chain proteins, and to the subfamily of Na+/K+ ATPases. It is the non-catalytic component of the active enzyme, which catalyzes the hydrolysis of ATP coupled with the exchange of Na+ and K+ ions across the plasma membrane. The precise function of the beta-2 subunit is not known. This protein is composed of 3 subunits: alpha (catalytic), beta and gamma. Recombinant human ATP1B2, fused to His-tag at C[1]terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.Alternative Names
