Description
SGCB also known as beta-sarcoglycan, is a member of the sarcoglycan family. Sarcoglycans are transmembrane components in the dystrophin-glycoprotein complex which help stabilize the muscle fiber membranes and link the muscle cytoskeleton to the extracellular matrix. Mutations in this gene have been associated with limb-girdle muscular dystrophy. Recombinant human SGCB protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli.Alternative Names
Beta-sarcoglycan, A3b, LGMD2E, SGC, Beta-SG, 43 kDa dystrophin-associated glycoprotein, 43DAGConcentration
0.5mg/ml (determined by Bradford assay)Concentration
Liquid in. 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0) containing 10% glycerolStorage: Can be stored at +2C to +8C for 1 week. For long term storage, aliquot and store at -20C to -80C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing cycles.
