Description
CNN1, also known as calponin-1, belongs to the calponin family. CNN1 is thin filament-associated protein that is implicated in the regulation and modulation of smooth muscle contraction. It is capable of binding to actin, calmodulin, troponin C and tropomyosin. The interaction of calponin with actin inhibits the actomyosin Mg-ATPase activity. Recombinant human CNN1 protein, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography.Alternative Names
Calponin 1, CNN1, HEL-S-14, Sm-Calp, SMCCConcentration
1mg/ml (determined by Bradford assay)Concentration
Liquid in. 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0) containing 30% glycerol, 0.15M NaCl, 1mM DTTStorage: Can be stored at +2C to +8C for 1 week. For long term storage, aliquot and store at -20C to -80C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing cycles.
