Description
TNNI3, also known as Troponin I3, is one of 3 subunits that form the troponin complex of the thin filaments of striated muscle. TNNI3 is responsible for inhibition of actomyosin ATPase activity. Therefore, TNNI3 is a key regulatory protein in cardiac muscle contraction and relaxation cycle. Recently, specific missense mutations of the TNNI3 gene have been shown to cause familial hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Recombinant human TNNI3 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by conventional chromatography.Alternative Names
