Description
Chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 2 (CCL2) is a small cytokine belonging to the CC chemokine family that is also known as monocyte chemotactic protein-1 (MCP-1). CCL2 recruits monocytes, memory T cells, and dendritic cells to sites of tissue injury and infection. It has been implicated in the pathogenesis of diseases characterized by monocytic infiltrates, like psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis and atherosclerosis. It binds to chemokine receptors CCR2 and CCR4. Recombinant human CCL2 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.Alternative Names
C-C motif chemokine ligand 2, Small inducible cytokine A2, SCYA2, Monocyte chemotactic protein 1 homologous to mouse Sig-je, Monocyte chemotactic and activating factor, Monocyte secretory protein JE, Small inducible cytokine subfamily A member 2, MCP1, MCP-1, MCAF, SMC-CF, GDCF-2, HC11, MGC9434Concentration
0.5mg/ml (determined by absorbance at 280nm)Concentration
Liquid in. 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0) containing 1mM DTT 20% glycerolStorage: Can be stored at +2C to +8C for 1 week. For long term storage, aliquot and store at -20C to -80C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing cycles.
