Description
KIR2DL5A, also known as killer cell immunoglobulin-like receptor 2DL5A, is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein that belongs to the killer cell Ig-like receptor (KIR) family. It is detected on the cell surface as a monomer that, upon tyrosine phosphorylation, recruits the Src homology region 2-containing protein tyrosine phosphatase-2, It is thus an inhibitory receptor gathering a combination of genetic, structural, and functional features unique among KIR, which suggests that it plays a specialized role in innate immunity. Recombinant human KIR2DL5A, fused to hIgG-His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.Alternative Names
