Description
CYGB is a globin molecule located in the brain and most notably utilized in marine mammals. It is thought to be a method of protection under conditions of hypoxia. The predicted function of cytoglobin is the modulation of oxygen and nitric oxide metabolism or scavenging free radicals within a cell. Recombinant human CYGB, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography.Alternative Names
CYGB, Cytoglobin, HGB, Histoglobin, STAP, Stellate cell activation associated proteinConcentration
1mg/ml (determined by Bradford assay)Concentration
Liquid in. 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0) containing 10% glycerolStorage: Can be stored at +2C to +8C for 1 week. For long term storage, aliquot and store at -20C to -80C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing cycles.
