Description
Dimethylarginine dimethylaminohydrolase 1, also known DDAH1, belongs to the dimethylarginine dimethylaminohydrolase gene family. The DDAH1 plays a role in nitric oxide generation by regulating cellular concentrations of methylarginines, which in turn inhibit nitric oxide synthase activity. Impairment of DDAH1 causes ADMA (asymmetric dimethylarginine) accumulation and a reduction in cGMP generation. Recombinant human DDAH1 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.Alternative Names
