Description
DERA, also known as deoxyribose-phosphate aldolase, belongs to the deoC/fbaB aldolase protein family involved in the carbohydrate degradation pathway. This protein catalyzes the conversion of 2-deoxy-D-ribose 5-phosphate to D-glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate and an acetyldehyde. Recombinant human DERA protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography.Alternative Names
