Description
Eukaryotic elongation factor-2 kinase, also known as EEF2K, is threonine kinase that regulates protein synthesis by controlling the rate of peptide chain elongation. upon activation by a variety of upstream kinases including AMPK or TRPM7, phosphorylates the elongation factor EEF2 at a single site, renders it unable to bind ribosomes and thus inactive. Recombinant human EEF2K protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.Alternative Names
