Description
EEF2 is a member of the GTP-binding translation elongation factor family. This protein is an essential factor for protein synthesis. It promotes the GTP-dependent translocation of the nascent protein chain from the A-site to the P-site of the ribosome. This protein is completely inactivated by EF-2 kinase phosporylation. Recombinant human EEF2 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli.Alternative Names
Elongation factor 2, EEF-2, EF-2, EF2, Eukaryotic translation elongation factor 2, Polypeptidyl-tRNA translocaseConcentration
1mg/ml (determined by Bradford assay)Concentration
Liquid in. 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0) containing 10% glycerol, 0.4M ureaStorage: Can be stored at +2C to +8C for 1 week. For long term storage, aliquot and store at -20C to -80C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing cycles.
