Description
Elongation factor 1-gamma, also known as EEF1G, is a multi-protein complex that is responsible for the delivery of aminoacyl-tRNAs to the ribosome. This subunit contains an N-terminal glutathione transferase domain, which may be involved in regulating the assembly of multisubunit complexes containing this elongation factor and aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases. Increased expression of EEF1G is associated with pancreatic cancer, suggesting a possible role for EEF1G in the oncogenic transformation process. Recombinant human EEF1G protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.Alternative Names
Elongation factor 1-gamma, EF1G, GIG35, EF-1-gamma, Elongation factor 1 gamma, GIG35, PRO1608Concentration
1mg/ml (determined by Bradford assay)Concentration
Liquid in. 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0) containing 0.15M NaCl, 10% glycerol, 1mM DTTStorage: Can be stored at +2C to +8C for 1 week. For long term storage, aliquot and store at -20C to -80C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing cycles.
