Description
FOLR1, as known as folate receptor alpha, is a member of the folate receptor family. This protein meditates the cellular uptake of folic acid and reduced folates. Dietary folates are required for many key metabolic processes including nucleotide ad methionine synthesis, the interconversion of glycine and serine, and histidine breakdown. Also, mature form is an N-glycosylated protein that is anchored to the cell surface by a GPI linkages. Recombinant human FOLR1, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.Alternative Names
