Description
HPR, also known as Haptoglobin-related protein, is a primate-specific plasma protein associated with apolipoprotein L-I (apoL-I) -containing high-density lipoprotein (HDL) particles shown to be a part of the innate immune defense. HPR-bound hemoglobin might contribute to the biologic activity of the circulating apoL-I/Hpr-containing HDL particles. Recombinant human HPR protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.Alternative Names
Haptoglobin-related protein, A-259H10.2, HPConcentration
0.25mg/ml (determined by Bradford assay)Concentration
Liquid in. 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH8.5) containing 20% glycerol, 1mM DTT, 0.15M NaClStorage: Can be stored at +2C to +8C for 1 week. For long term storage, aliquot and store at -20C to -80C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing cycles.
