Interferon- alpha is cytokines that are widely known to induce potent anti-viral activity. Interferon -alpha exerts a variety of other biological effects, including antitumor and immunomodulatory activities and are increasingly used clinically to treat a range of malignancies, myelodysplasias and autoimmune diseases.
