Description
NRGN, also known as Neurogranin, is a calmodulin-binding protein expressed exclusively in the brain, particularly in dendritic spines, and participating in the protein kinase C signaling pathway. This protein is the main postsynaptic protein regulating the availability of calmodulin, binding to it in the absence of calcium. Phosphorylation by protein kinase C lowers its binding ability. Recombinant human NRGN protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatographyAlternative Names
Neurogranin, NRGN, HNG, RC3Concentration
0.5mg/ml (determined by BCA assay)Concentration
Liquid in. 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH7.0) containing 30% glycerol 0.1mM PMSF,1mM EDTAStorage: Can be stored at +2C to +8C for 1 week. For long term storage, aliquot and store at -20C to -80C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing cycles.
