Description
NTF4, also known as neurotrophin 4, is a member of a family of neurotrophic factors neurotrophins that control survival and differentiation of mammalian neurons. This protein is ubiquitous and less influenced by environmental signals. While knock-outs of other neurotrophins including nerve growth factor, brain-derivedneurotrophic factor, and neurotrophin 3 prove lethal during early postnatal development, NTF4-deficient mice only show minor cellular deficits and develop normally to adulthood.Alternative Names
Neurotrophin-4, NT4, NT5, NTF5, NT-4/5Concentration
1mg/ml (determined by Bradford assay)Concentration
Liquid in. 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0) containing 0.4M urea, 20% glycerolStorage: Can be stored at +2C to +8C for 1 week. For long term storage, aliquot and store at -20C to -80C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing cycles.
