NUBP1 also known as cytosolic Fe-S cluster assembly factor NUBP1 isoform 1. NUBP1 is implicated in the regulation of centrosome duplication by similarity. This protein is component of the cytosolic iron-sulfur (Fe/S) protein assembly (CIA) machinery. It required for maturation of extra mitochondrial Fe-S proteins The NUBP1-NUBP2 heterotetramer forms a Fe-S scaffold complex, mediating the de novo assembly of a Fe-S cluster and its transfer to target apoproteins. Recombinant human NUBP1 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.Alternative Names
