Description
GDP-fucose protein O-fucosyltransferase 1, also known as POuFuT1, is a member of the glycosyltransferase O-Fuc family. Highly expressed in pancreas, kidney, lung, heart, brain, liver, placenta and skeletal muscle, POFuT1 uses manganese to catalyze the attachment of fucose to a conserved serine or threonine residue on a protein accept. POFuT1 plays an important role in Notch signaling, as Notch ligands can serve as POFuT1 substrates. Recombinant human POFuT1 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli.Alternative Names
