Description
Mitogen-activated protein kinase 12, also known as MAPK12, belongs to the MAP kinase family. MAPK12 functions as a signal transducer during differentiation of myoblasts to myotubes. Expressed in different areas throughout the body with common expression patterns in heart, p38 proteins use magnesium as a cofactor to catalyze the ATP-dependent phosphorylation of target proteins. Recombinant human MAPK12 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.Alternative Names
