Description
PTGR1, also known as LTB4DH, belongs to the NADP-dependent oxidoreductase L4BD family. This enzyme catalyzes the conversion of leukotriene B4 into its biologically less active metabolite, 12-oxo-leukotriene B4. This is an initial and key step of metabolic inactivation of leukotriene B4. It is highly expressed in the kidney, liver, and intestine but not in leukocytes. Recombinant human PTGR1 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.Alternative Names
