Description
RPL8 (60S ribosomal protein L8) belongs to the ribosomal protein L2P family. Ribosomes, the organelles that catalyze protein synthesis, consist of a small 40S subunit and a large 60S subunit. The protein belongs to the L2P family of ribosomal proteins. It is located in the cytoplasm and exists as a component of the 60S subunit where it is thought to play a role in aminoacyl-tRNA binding, specifically at the ribosomal subunit interface. Recombinant human RPL8 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by conventional chromatography, after refolding of the isolated inclusion bodies in a renaturation buffer.Alternative Names
60S ribosomal protein L8, L8Concentration
0.25mg/ml (determined by Bradford assay)Concentration
Liquid in. 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0) containing 2mM DTT, 50% glycerol, 300mM NaCl, 2mM EDTAStorage: Can be stored at +2C to +8C for 1 week. For long term storage, aliquot and store at -20C to -80C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing cycles.
